Decades in the making.

I found it in Dad's barn. Hadn't been there long--a winter, maybe two.

Dad bought it at an auction for the heavy iron vice that that was bolted to the top. There was a large old electric motor on it, too. Once these items were reclaimed and put to good use in other places, the old workbench stood in the old milking barn accumulating old tools, parts, and boxes of things Dad keeps dragging home from auctions and rummage sales.

I asked Dad, "You got a plan for this."

"I don't know. Firewood. Maybe. Haven't gotten to it yet."

I cleared the surface and took it home. A good cleaning revealed the many years of use on the top. Saw marks. Holes. Spilled paint. Many stories of years gone by of fixing this and crafting that. Two coats of pure tung oil brought out the original charm and character of the wood and sealed in every nick. Rich history preserved.

Suitable for many household uses in your classic home or your vintage industrial DTLA apartment. Workbench measures 48" wide by 24" deep and 34" tall.
