Product Description
Our three panel casket is constructed with timeless elements of wooden joinery resulting in a metal-free casket suitable for green and natural burial cemeteries as well as Orthodox religions. This casket is made from sustainable pine harvested from the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The two-piece arched lid hinged with cotton muslin and solid-mounted wooden handles give this casket a familiar shape and contemporary appearance. As with all Northwoods products, this casket is handmade in Wisconsin from locally sourced, sustainable materials.

The inside of this three panel casket includes a simple jute pillow and cushion set stuffed with recycled, shredded paper. The cushions and pillow are covered with a Monk's cloth cotton liner for a practical, eco-friendly, soft, and elegant casket lining.
This casket is designed to fit into a standard 30-inch burial vault. The casket outside dimensions are 82L x 29.5W x 20H (inches). The inside dimensions are 76.5L x 23.5W x 15H (inches).
The two-piece (half-couch) lid style is preferred by many families for an open casket viewing.
This lid opens with a cotton muslin hinge and is held open with a simple pine brace. The lid also includes a headliner made with cardboard and covered with Monk's cloth cotton. This panel is ideal for placing photos, letters, and other memorabilia to celebrate the life and love of the family.
Natural Wood Finish
Northwoods Three Panel Caskets are available in several finishes. We exclusively use natural oils and color pigments to create our color finishes. All casket finishes contain zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and are safe to work with and clean/safe for burial in all cemeteries. Our policy for using zero VOCs makes for a healthier working environment for us and a clean conscience for those who share our concern for the environment.
Plain Pine (no finish)
This casket has no finish whatsoever. The soft-sanded texture is ideal for a simple funeral or for those families who would like to creatively decorate the casket themselves.- Danish Oil
Danish Oil is simply a pure linseed oil and is an old favorite for cabinet makers. This natural oil brings out the beautiful color and texture of the pine for an attactive, and eco-friendly casket finish. - Dark Raw Tung Oil
Dark raw tung oil, although relatively new to the Western world, has been known for centuries to the Chinese. It comes from the seed of the tung trees. The dark oil brings out the natural texture of the pine wood grain and gives a dark matte finish.
